Jennifer M Jones Bio


Jennifer Jones is an American artist, writer and educator. Her multidisciplinary socially engaged art practice, which includes sculpture, photography, performance, video, printmaking, and ceramics, is based in political protest.

Jennifer is an artist, activist and teacher.  Her artwork is didactic and political. She is currently involved in a voting campaign called Operation Lady Liberty.  This work involves performance, printmaking and computer arts.  It is a social practice in which she takes her work out into the street and asks people to consider the importance of voting and informs people of myths about voting that may affect them. She works as a K – 12 teaching artist and mentors teaching artists in Public Schools throughout New York City.  She also teaches an Introduction to Printmaking class at Purchase College.
